Correct Code Framework: member library

The Language of Reasoning

Precision in language produces precision in thought. CCF is not only a system of movement — it is a system of words. Every term has meaning. Every meaning preserves structure.

This is not "vocabulary." It is discipline. When language is sloppy, reasoning becomes unstable. When language is lawful, correctness becomes repeatable.

Why Language Matters

  • Words are the interface to your reasoning.
  • If your words are unstable, your logic will be unstable.
  • Neutral language preserves correctness under pressure.
  • Metaphor is allowed — but definitions are mandatory.

The CCF Standard

CCF language is structural, professional, and repeatable. We do not use moral or criminal framing for logic. A candidate is not "illegal." It is invalid, disqualified, or irrelevant based on what the constraints demand.

Use this glossary as the public map of the CCF language. It helps you understand, cite, and practice the terms before moving into the first Case File.

CCF Lexicon v1.0

Starter Plan starts here: learn the language, then try the first Case File.

Movement
Lawful Movement — A step that preserves constraints and invariants. A move that keeps the system in a valid state.
Invalid Movement — A step that violates a constraint or invariant.
Candidates
Valid Candidate — Still satisfies all constraints so far. Still eligible.
Invalid Candidate — Violates constraints or bounds.
Disqualified Candidate — Previously valid, now eliminated by new evidence.
Information
Relevant Information — Contributes toward solving the problem (constraints, shape, goal, or optimization).
Irrelevant Information — Does not contribute to constraints, shape, goal, or optimization.
Problem Space
Problem Space — The input domain, state space, or searchable structure where candidates live.
Pruned Problem Space — Candidates removed due to constraint violation.
Dead Branch — A path that cannot produce a solution.
State
Stable State — All invariants preserved.
State Violation — An invariant has been broken.
Decisions
Deterministic Decision — Only one lawful move exists.
Strategic Decision — Multiple valid moves exist; choose based on optimization.
Constraints
Hard Constraint — Must never be violated.
Soft Constraint — Optimization target (time, space, cost).
Core CCF Pipeline Terms
Intent — The purpose the solution must satisfy.
Answer Space — The required output domain or return contract.
Scanner — The traversal mechanism that moves through the Problem Space.
Frame — The current unit of evaluation.
Invariant — The condition that must remain true across Frames.
Recorder — Auxiliary state that preserves evidence across Frames.
Decision — A movement, storage, or elimination choice made from evidence.
Repair — A correction made when reasoning or implementation violates the case constraints.
Finalization — The moment evidence is committed to the Answer Space.
Proof — The correctness argument that explains why the solution holds.
Terms We Do Not Use

These terms are officially retired from CCF language. Replace them with the precise terms above.

  • Illegal (use: invalid / disqualified / out-of-bounds / pruned)
  • Unlawful data (use: invalid candidate / constraint-violating input)
  • Illegal state (use: state violation)
  • Forbidden candidate (use: disqualified candidate)
Closing Principle

This lexicon is not stylistic preference. It is structural discipline. Correct language produces correct thought — and correct thought produces correct systems.

Where This Fits

The Glossary is the starting map for CCF language. Learn the terms, read the Reasoning Pipeline, then practice the first Case File.
