CCF System Design Bootcamp

90-Day System Design Bootcamp

From system reasoning to enterprise implementation.

The CCF 90-Day Bootcamp develops the technical reasoning, system design, implementation, troubleshooting, and communication skills required to work with enterprise clients. Candidates progress from understanding systems at a high level to investigating the protocols, applications, data systems, distributed architecture, and infrastructure that make those systems work.

Our System Design Labs are powered by Cree8: guided technical classrooms where candidates practice system reasoning, implementation, troubleshooting, and communication with real enterprise-style case work.

System Design DevOps Core Concept

Continuous Integration. Continuous Delivery. Continuous Learning.

The bootcamp treats learning like a production system: candidates continuously integrate new technical judgment, continuously deliver working proof, and continuously learn from feedback, labs, reviews, and escalation.

Who do you call when you need help?

  • With your car: you call a roadside expert when the problem exceeds what you can solve on the side of the road.
  • With your hardware: you escalate to infrastructure specialists when servers, networks, or cloud systems break down.
  • With your software: you bring in senior technical judgment when systems, applications, or integrations fail.
  • With your talent development: Correct Code Press helps teams train candidates through real labs, production-style scenarios, and proof-based reviews.
The Expert Escalation Principle infographic showing who to call when car, infrastructure, software, or reasoning breaks down.
Reasoning, code, infrastructure, and talent development improve fastest when teams know when to escalate and how to learn from the solution.

Three-Stage Progression

Systems Foundation to Enterprise Readiness

Stage 1 Days 1-30

Systems Foundation

Week 1
CCF Reasoning & Technical Planning

Problem framing, requirements discovery, functional and non-functional requirements, constraints, assumptions, tradeoffs, technical decisions, and system planning.

Analyze the problem before selecting technologies or writing code.
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: System Planning Case File
Week 2
High-Level System Design

Clients, servers, networks, APIs, applications, databases, caches, queues, external services, scalability, availability, latency, throughput, and reliability.

User -> Client -> Network -> Application -> Data -> External Systems
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: High-Level Architecture Case File
Week 3
Web & Execution Foundations

Browser architecture, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, events, call stack, event loop, synchronous and asynchronous execution, callbacks, Promises, and async/await.

Enough browser knowledge to understand later HTTP communication.
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Client execution mental model
Week 4
HTTP Core I: Protocol Foundations

Requests, responses, URLs, URIs, schemes, hosts, ports, paths, query strings, headers, bodies, methods, status codes, JSON, content types, HTTPS, localhost, 127.0.0.1, ports, and local servers.

CCF Core Foundation Component
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Explain an HTTP transaction without relying on a framework.
Stage 2 Days 31-60

Communication & Application Development

Week 5
HTTP Core II: Operate HTTP Directly

curl, curl -i, GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, request headers, request bodies, authentication headers, PowerShell Invoke-WebRequest, Invoke-RestMethod, Postman, and Browser DevTools.

curl http://localhost:5000/api/customers
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Demonstrate and verify an API with no frontend.
Week 6
HTTP Core III: OpenAPI & Swagger

API contracts, OpenAPI, Swagger UI, endpoint definitions, schemas, parameters, request models, response models, authentication definitions, documentation, and interactive testing.

HTTP = protocol. API = interface. OpenAPI = contract. Swagger UI = exploration tool.
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Contract-first API explanation
Week 7
HTTP Core IV: Client-Side HTTP

fetch(), Promises, async/await, request configuration, headers, request bodies, JSON serialization and parsing, network errors, HTTP errors, CORS, cancellation, and authentication.

curl -> Postman -> Swagger -> fetch()
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Browser client communicates through the same HTTP model.
Week 8
Server-Side Development

HTTP maps into C# / ASP.NET Core, Java / Spring, and Python / FastAPI. The .NET path includes C#, Kestrel, routing, controllers, Minimal APIs, model binding, JSON serialization, dependency injection, middleware, configuration, exception handling, and logging.

return NotFound(); -> HTTP 404 Response
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Framework behavior mapped back to HTTP.
Stage 3 Days 61-90

Enterprise Systems & Consulting Readiness

Week 9
API Architecture

HTTP APIs, REST, resources, representations, statelessness, idempotency, status-code semantics, pagination, filtering, versioning, error contracts, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, and Webhooks.

Which communication model fits this system requirement, and why?
LearnReasonBuildProve
Proof: Select the communication model that fits the requirement.
Week 10
Data & Persistence

Relational modeling, SQL, tables, keys, relationships, indexes, transactions, isolation, ORM concepts, EF Core, Hibernate, SQLAlchemy, repositories, connection pooling, and query performance.

CCF Core Foundation Component

HTTP Core

Learn the protocol before the framework. Candidates first understand and operate HTTP directly. Only then do they use JavaScript, C#, Java, Python, or application frameworks to abstract and implement that communication.

  1. 01 — Protocol Foundations
  2. 02 — Localhost & Ports
  3. 03 — Shell / curl / PowerShell
  4. 04 — Postman
  5. 05 — Browser DevTools
  6. 06 — OpenAPI / Swagger
  7. 07 — JavaScript Client
  8. 08 — Server Implementation
  9. 09 — REST / GraphQL / gRPC / WebSockets / Webhooks
curl Postman Swagger fetch() Frameworks

CCF Learning Model

Every Module Moves Through Four Proof Points

01

Learn

The concepts and system responsibilities being introduced.

02

Reason

The technical decisions the candidate should be able to make.

03

Build

The implementation or investigation work the candidate performs.

04

Prove

The Case File, assessment, architecture diagram, troubleshooting exercise, or implementation artifact that demonstrates mastery.

Days 85-90

Enterprise Consulting Partner Case File

The final scenario integrates the full roadmap: a client has an unreliable customer-ordering platform with slow requests, intermittent failures, duplicate orders, and poor monitoring.

Discover and document requirements. Model the existing architecture. Identify potential failure points. Inspect HTTP behavior. Test endpoints using curl and Postman. Evaluate the OpenAPI/API contract. Analyze client and server behavior. Evaluate data persistence. Identify reliability risks. Propose an improved architecture. Explain technical tradeoffs. Present recommendations as a consultant.

Day 90 — Enterprise Consulting Readiness

The objective is not simply to prove that the candidate can write code. The candidate must demonstrate that they can investigate, reason about, explain, improve, and defend technical systems in an enterprise consulting environment.
